Conversations in Ministry

Legacy Resources from Energion Publications

The Conversations in Ministry series was established through a landmark partnership between Energion Publications and the Academy of Parish Clergy. Although the Academy has concluded its formal operations, its mission to foster professional excellence and collegial support lives on through these volumes. Energion Publications continues to maintain and distribute this series independently, ensuring these vital voices remain part of the ministerial landscape.

Note on Branding: As we continue to steward this series, you may see the original Academy logo on some existing covers. These will be updated with the Energion Publications branding over time.

The series title reflects a specific hope: that these books serve as a catalyst for clergy to engage with one another. Rather than abstract theory, these works offer conversations in ministry—exploring the intersection of faith and practice within the local church.

To remain accessible to the active pastor, these volumes are concise (typically under 100 pages), transformational, and reflective, including practices to help move the reader from reading to doing.

The series features foundational works such as Kent Ira Groff’s Clergy Table Talk and Dr. David Moffett-Moore’s Wind and Whirlwind. While this series focuses on brief dialogue, our Guides to Practical Ministry series offers longer, more technical deep-dives into professional leadership skills.
